Will 2016 be the year of the cat cafe?

NEKO [Official Site]

Well folks, it looks like Seattle may soon be home to not one, not two, but three cat cafes. While you wait for Seattle Meowtropolitan to open, Seattle Kitty Kafe is still in the works, and now there's a third venture getting its footing: NEKO, which is currently in the crowdfunding stage.

Expect the familiar set-up: there are adoptable cats roaming around while you sip your coffee, but NEKO will also serve snacks, beer, and wine. Owner Caitlin Unsell decided to open a cat cafe after living abroad for the past three years in Japan and Vietnam, where there are cat cafes aplenty. Most of the other details are still in progress at this point, but you can support Unsell's Indiegogo campaign to get the project off the ground.
