Purple Cafe & Wine Bar is closing its Kirkland location after its New Year's Eve dinner service, but it has plans to reopen in the future.
The current space occupied by the restaurant is being redeveloped, with construction beginning soon. The Purple team calls the closure temporary, saying they have plans to reopen in the new Kirkland Urban development coming to the spot. "We have been working closely with the developer, Talon Private Capital, and are confident that the new center and our new space are going to be spectacular," the announcement said.
The Kirkland location has been open for 12 years and is one of four Purple Cafes in the area. Leading up to the closure, the restaurant is offering daily featured red and white glass pours, "Mystery Brown Bag Wine Flights" on Wednesdays, a throwback menu of favorites from the past 12 years (through December 20), and half off most of the wine list every Sunday.
