L.A. restaurateur Tony Riviera opened the doors to his large new upscale food palace, The Market Hall, earlier this week.
The downtown spot is a hybrid restaurant, bar, and market in the vein of Eataly and Dean & Deluca food emporiums. It's also part of The Market Hall's expansion efforts in San Francisco, San Diego, and Dallas. On the grocery side, there's an espresso bar, cheese and charcuterie department, pizza oven, sushi, grab-and-go sandwiches and salads, and a 16-foot prepared food section with grilled meats, pasta, seafood, grains, and vegetables.
