On the heels of the success of pop-up coffee bars at the Sanborn Building, the Anchored Ship Coffee Bar and at Hilliard's Beer on weekends, Mmmhmm Coffee is moving to Hilliard's, 1550 NW 49th Street in Ballard, permanently starting in March.

Mmmhmm Coffee founder Jon French said he will operate his specialty coffee business daily from 7 am to 3 pm. The Hilliard's Beer tap room will continue to serve beer starting at 3 pm on weekdays, noon on weekends.

"Now seemed like a good time to start seven days a week," French said.

French will continue to make coffee drinks exclusively with beans roasted by Counter Culture Coffee based in North Carolina. Mmmhmm Coffee will also serve sweet and savory baked goods from Morsel.

"We want to serve something that goes with beer," French explained. "Sometimes they have a food truck but when they bail and then there's no food. The idea is that now there's food every day. You can expect it."
