CAPITOL HILL — San Francisco's highly regarded Bar Tartine restaurant will essentially pop-up inside Sitka and Spruce on Thursday. Chefs Nick Balla and Cortney Burns have just released a cookbook, Bar Tartine, and they'll be presenting dishes from it at a three-course family style dinner, with wine, from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Tickets are on sale now. AWARDS SEASON Walla Walla's Marcus Whitman Hotel was named by the Washington State Wine Commission as "2015 Hotel of the Year" at the 13th Annual Washington State Wine Awards. The hotel won out over 130 submissions. The hotel's Marc Restaurant also received an award, the 2015 Grand Award, for its wine program. [EaterWire]
