DINING MONTH -  If you've been planning to visit Portland, now is a great time. For the entire month of March, more than 100 restaurants will offer a special three-course meal for $29 for Portland Dining Month. Eater Portland examined the menus of participating restaurants and mapped out a list of the 15 best deals - top places that offer a ton of choices and don't skimp on the luxe ingredients.

NORTHWEST - The Skyline Tavern, a dive-y, 1924 saloon way up in Portland's hills on 2.2 acres with million-dollar views, found a new owner who's giving it a new lease on life. Portland native and environmental filmmaker Scott Ray Becker promises to preserve the bar's old-school integrity while significantly upgrading the food, drink, and service. He plans to use the tavern to fund his nonprofit, the Black Dog Art Ensemble, which uses the arts to explore environmental issues. And since it offers access to Forest Park's Wildwood Trail from the parking lot, expect SkyTav to be a popular destination this summer.

ALTON BROWN - The chef, author and TV personality came to Portland earlier this week for his Alton Brown Live show, and proceeded to put together one of the tastiest food tours of the city, all well-documented on his Twitter and Instagram feeds. Check out where he went and see which two dishes he deemed "the best" he's ever had.
