LloydMartin Teases Barbecue Pop-up

New, 1 comment

Four days of ribs and whiskey cocktails, coming soon.

Facebook/Lloyd Martin

Each year, LloydMartin embraces April Fools Day and takes on a new restaurant persona. This time around, chef Sam Crannell turns his Queen Anne restaurant into a barbecue joint dubbed Sloppy Hog BBQ Seattle (last year it was Mexican popup, Chicharron). Unlike past pop-ups, reservations are recommended this time around. Sloppy Hog will run from April 1 to 4, 5 p.m. until close. As of today, the ephemeral menu consists of smoked butter popcorn, deviled eggs with candied bacon, braised short rib, barbecue shrimp with grits and gravy, baby back ribs and the almost requisite pulled pork sandwich. Everything falls in the $5 to $16 range. As for booze, NW Peaks will be the featured beer of the week among a handful of whiskey-based cocktails.
