Adding to Seattle’s ranks of top-notch sandwich spots like Paseo and Salumi — both with a cult-like following — is the equally crowd-pleasing Meat & Bread. Joining John Sundstrom’s trifecta of food joints in the Central Agency Building, the much-anticipated arrival of this self-described "man made sandwich shop" from British Columbia is officially opening on Monday, April 13.
As construction wraps up at Meat & Bread’s first U.S. location on 10th and Seneca, expect lunch and dinner menus similar to the Vancouver and Victoria outposts. Hopefully that means bringing over the porchetta sandwich with salsa verde. And despite the straightforward promise of both meat and bread, there are also weekly vegetarian creations to come.
