Eat for Equality at Coastal Kitchen; New Nordic Pop-Up in Ballard

CAPITOL HILL — Coastal Kitchen is hosting a fundraiser for LGBTQ Allyship on April 23 to raise funds and awareness for the issue of LGBTQ safety in the neighborhood. The event runs from 5 to 11 p.m. and all proceeds will be donated from the purchase of Caffe Vita coffee, Georgetown Brewing beer, and Oola vodka. A majority of proceeds from the day's food sales will also be donated. There will also be an 8 p.m. prize raffle and a silent auction. [EaterWire]

BALLARD — A new pop-up called Tumble Swede is preparing to launch this weekend. The dinners will take place inside Bloom in Ballard, with a four-course prix-fixe menu highlighting contemporary Nordic food. It's happening Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. [The Stranger]
