Kraken Congee just announced on Facebook that they're ready to serve their first dinner their new restaurant tonight in a soft opening. They'll still be closed Saturday and Sunday and open officially on Monday at 11 a.m. The popular pop-up-turned-spanking-new-storefront will be open at 5 p.m. in the old Little Uncle space in Pioneer Square (88 Yesler). Along with the star congees from their pop-ups, co-owners Garrett Doherty and Shane Robinson will introduce several new plates, including a junk boat: A seasonal seafood dish with mirin and dashi broth, Thai basil, lemongrass, clams, mussels, and baby octopus. If you're not having a burger tonight, you know where you'll be. Look forward to the grand opening on Monday as scheduled for lunch.
