Matt Dillon's two-year-old Bar Sajor has announced that Preston Miller (formally Sous Chef at Sitka & Spruce and Executive Sous Chef at NYC's The Breslin) is their new chef de cuisine, replacing Edouardo Jordan. Jordan shared his plans for his first solo restaurant, Salare, at the beginning of the year, now scheduled to open in Ravenna in June.
One of Sajor's first moves with Miller at the helm is a regular weekend brunch menu. The restaurant has offered a half dozen one-off brunches for Sounders and Seahawks games in the past, but now they're ready to commit, serving a range of plates from their wood-fire oven (including a cinnamon & juniper roll with grapefruit glaze; baked eggs with ramps, morel mushrooms & stinging nettle-cultured cream; and a house hot corned beef sandwich with peppered rye & spring onion kraut), pantry and seafood favorites, and more. View a full sample menu here. Brunch debuts Saturday, May 2, and will be available Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
