Bean Box [Official Site]

A local start-up is now making it possible for anyone in the United States to receive coffee from Seattle without setting foot in the city. Oh, and Seattleites can participate, too.

Bean Box's coffee delivery service launched late last year, with some of Seattle's top roasters participating. Boxes include four 1.7-ounce pouches (enough for about three cups) of whole bean coffee along with tasting notes and the roasting date. Fifteen local roasters are currently on board, including Herkimer, Ladro, and Lighthouse. Bean Box ensures the coffee arrives within a few days of roasting. The boxes are available for a monthly subscription (for $20 a month) or as a one-time gift.
