In a week of opportunities to dine for a good cause, Phinney Ridge-based Thaiku just made a master stroke. The Thai eatery will donate 100 percent of its gross sales earned between 12 p.m. and 5 p.m. this Sunday, May 3, to the Nepal earthquake relief via Red Cross. Locally-made letterpress cards, calendars, and artwork by Ilee Papergoods will also be available for purchase, with all of their proceeds likewise donated to the relief.
Last weekend's 7.9-magnitude earthquake in Nepal led to over 6,000 deaths, with thousands still unaccounted for. "Thaiku wants to do its part and help," Thaiku's management says.
