Piroshky lovers, rejoice: Pike Place Market favorite Piroshky Piroshky will expand to Columbia Center (701 5th Avenue) later this month, and kick things off right with free lunch. The new branch will open Tuesday, May 26, and between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. that day, each visitor gets a piroshky of their choice gratis, while supplies last.

This will be owner Oliver Kotelnikov's third outpost for the European sweet and savory hand pies; the second is in Northgate Mall. The newest location will maintain the same tried 'n true menu and be open 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday. Seating will be food court style, so as a welcome change from Pike Place, there should be aplenty.
