Where to Drink During Seattle Beer Week

Seattle Beer Week is getting to be a pretty big deal. The 10-day celebration of beer has exploded since it first launched, and the list of events seems to grow each year. Here are Eater's picks for the best bets.

Seattle Proper, 5/7 at Naked City Taphouse, 6 to 9 p.m.
"The finest wood-aged and deliciously odd beers brewed inside the Seattle city limits."

Beer Cocktails, 5/7 at Liberty, 7 to 10 p.m.
"The cocktail wizards of Liberty will work their magic once again using Schooner EXACT's fine brews to whip up several tasty beer cocktails."

Seattle Cask-O-Rama, 5/8 at Beveridge Place Pub, 6 p.m. to midnight
"Twenty Seattle breweries, twenty casks on the bartop!"

Tour de Pints, 5/9 at Lantern Brewing, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
"The magical Tour de Pints bike ride for beer lovers, brought to you by Flying Bike Cooperative Brewery, will once again be touring the streets, pubs, and breweries of our great city."

Beer Can Derby, 5/9 at The Pine Box, 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Can You Handle My Randall, 5/12 at The Pine Box, 4 to 8 p.m.
"The Twelve Randalls return again to have you asking, 'what the F*** did you put in my beer?' This year its the Battle of the West Coast with 4 beers each from California, Oregon, and Washington."

Sourfest, 5/14 at Brouwer's Cafe, all day
"Brouwer’s Cafe will replace every or just about every tap with a delicious sour beer from around the world."

4th Annual Home Brew Competition, 5/16 at Quinn's, 4 p.m. to midnight
"We have taken the best homebrewers from Bob's Homebrew Supply, Sound Homebrew Supply, Homebrew Heaven, The Cellar Homebrew, and Larry's Brewing Supply for a final showdown at Quinn's. Guest Judges from Holy Mountain Brewing and Schooner Exact will be on hand to help decide who will take home the "2015 Best Homebrew" award and win the "Best In Show" trophy for their homebrew shop to have and proudly display until next year's competition. The audience will decide who has the best label art while we pour beer from both Holy Mountain and Bainbridge Island Brewing."
