Kudos for Purple Wine Bar; Camp Korey's Farm-to-Table Dinner

LISTICLES Purple Cafe & Wine Bar was named to Wine Enthusiast's list of the Top 20 Wine Bars in America. The blurb says, "There are several Purple spots, but only the Seattle locale boasts a 5,000-bottle wine tower. It's a mecca of Washington wine with fun flights." [EaterWire]

CARNATION — Camp Korey is gearing up for its annual farm-to-table dinner fundraiser, and this year Ethan Stowell will be among the featured chefs creating "an exclusive four-course menu highlighting locally grown and produced farmhouse cuisine that celebrates the very best of our local food culture." Local wineries will also be present and "funds raised from this event empower children and families living with serious medical conditions through year-round, life changing experiences, always free of charge." CAPITOL HILL Capitol Cider is hosting an Inaugural Barrel Fest starting July 2 and running through July 5. All the bar's 30 taps will feature barrel-aged beers and ciders and there will be a special "Barrel-Aged Brunch" on July 4 as well. [EaterWire]
