SODO — Safeco Field and the Mariners have started hosting "peanut-free" games this season after a desperate plea from a fan whose son has a dangerous peanut allergy. "Before each peanut-free game, crews pressure wash the section in the upper deck in the right field corner, then a team of volunteers follows up with towels to scour every surface," reports MyNorthwest.com. They've hosted one so far this season; two more are set for July 10 and August 11. [MyNorthwest]
