Rejoice, Ballard: Southcenter-based Arashi Ramen is planning to open a second outpost in the former Uma Thai (5401 20th Ave NW) space this fall. According to owner Sonny Ho, the new Arashi will offer a similar menu to the Tukwila store which opened last August, and Ho, his business partner Andy Tsang, and chef Daisuke Ueda plan to split time between both branches to start.

The 1,100-square-foot restaurant will have 30 seats. Hours are still being finalized, but Ho anticipates being open 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, and he's shooting to debut by November. Stay tuned for more updates on Ballard's only current ramen-devoted spot since Bloom closed in March.
