A new meal delivery service, SpoonRocket, has joined a crowded field of other, similar services. SpoonRocket offers lunch to downtown and South Lake Union areas for super cheap, with most meals coming in around $8 or $9. The entire lunch is guaranteed to be $10 and under, including delivery. They also have a nice selection of breakfast options, like burritos and smoothies for $7 and under.
SpoonRocket's goal is to deliver the food in 15 minutes or less, with available lunchtime meals posted earlier in the day. They still seem to be working out some of the kinks around this though, with one recent delivery taking as long as 30 minutes. But they're clearly aiming to please, offering free meals when things don't go as smoothly as they should.
The lunchtime ordering window is between 11:20 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. daily. You can order via the website or mobile app, pay online, and simply grab the food once the driver is curbside. SpoonRocket lets you know when they're two minutes away and when they've arrived. No money changes hands at the curb, so the transaction is fast and simple.
Recent participating restaurants include Paseo, Baguette Box, Roxy’s Diner and Osteria La Spiga, though the restaurant or other meal origin isn't always evident from the site.
