North Star Diner Coming to Greenwood; Bell + Whete Launches Beer Club

Today's dose of vital food news.

GREENWOOD — Replacing Yen Wor Garden at 85th and Greenwood is North Star Diner and Shanghai Room, though the opening date is still forthcoming. "North Star Diner will be a classic 24-hour neighborhood diner with traditional and new American diner food, including breakfast and lunch all day, dinners, milkshakes and baked goods. The interior will be a nod to the building’s long history of housing Chinese restaurants. The adjacent Shanghai Room bar, open 12 p.m. to 2 a.m. daily, will offer alcoholic drinks and karaoke every night for patrons 21 and over," reports PhinneyWood. [PhinneyWood]

BELLTOWN — Bell + Whete is launching a beer club called Stein Society on July 22. Pay a one-time membership fee of $49.99 and receive an array of incentives, including a personalized beer stein, invites to special events, and $1 off any beer purchased using the mug. [EaterWire]
