Where to Watch Fireworks; Macefield House Plans Dashed

Without further ado, we present the latest and greatest real estate news from our sister site, Curbed Seattle.

FIREWORKS! -- It's that time of the year once again to load up the car with blankets & streamers, drug up your skittish pets and figure out how early you have to get to your spot in order to have a great Fourth of July fireworks view from your chosen Puget Sound area location. From Lake Union to Bellevue to Tacoma, Curbed compiled and mapped out all the major fireworks show this year.

RENDERINGS REVEALED -- This week, Kilroy Realty took their designs for two 12-story buildings that will replace the old KING 5 building in South Lake Union to the review board. The proposed set of structures will include 582,000 sf of office space, 15,000 sf of retail and roughly 700 underground parking spaces. They'll also offer great requisite views of the Space Needle, of course. Check out the renderings here.

UP! & DOWN -- We finally found out who bought Ballard's Edith Macefield House this week, a mother & daughter duo with plans to turn it into a coffee & pie shop. Unfortunately, we also found out they aren't financially able to get the building up to code, so they've decided to donate the structure and sell the land. Any takers?
