Barrio's Throwback Thursday Menu; "Under the Block Party" at Capitol Cider

CAPITOL HILL Starting on Thursday, Barrio will roll out a Throwback Thursday cocktail menu. Each month will feature a different selection of 70s and 80s cocktails that have been revamped for present-day customers. The menu will run every Thursday for that entire month, and the cocktails will always be $10. The first selection, starting Thursday and available through the end of August, will include revamped versions of a Midori Sour, Brass Monkey, and Surfer on Acid. [EaterWire]

CAPITOL HILL — At next weekend's Capitol Hill Block Party, Capitol Cider is hosting a no-cover "Under the Block Party" line-up of music all weekend. There's also a food special, a grilled cheese sandwich using sharp white cheddar and Jarlsberg Swiss cheeses with housemade tomato jam including fresh rosemary, balsamic vinegar, sundried and heirloom tomatoes, plus an ice cold Hamm’s or Seattle Dry Cider for $10.
