Beecher's Handmade Cheese has announced they're opening a new location in Bellevue Square in August. It will be their fourth location between Seattle and New York.
In other opening news, Macleod's Fish & Chips is preparing to open on Ballard Avenue at the beginning of August. The 28-seat counter-service restaurant from the folks behind Macleod’s Scottish Pub, Bastille Café and Bar, and Stoneburner will be located at 5206 Ballard Avenue Northwest.
Poquitos' Executive Chef Manny Arce developed the menu and sourced the fish purveyors. Expect certified sustainable long-line caught wild Pacific cod with organic fries, salmon, and halibut. All fish and chips will come with tartar sauce and mushy peas. There will also be fish tacos, a fish sandwich, a burger, shepherd's pie, clam chowder, a Scotch egg, and other pub fare.
On the drinks side, there will be Scottish and local beer on draft and in the bottle, as well as wines by the glass and bottle. The full menu will be available to patrons of Macleod's Scottish Pub next door; you'll be able to order from the bar or pick up at the restaurant and walk over to the pub.
