FREMONT — Pretzel bakery The Knot & Twist launched at the Fremont Sunday Market this past weekend, and now they're running a Kickstarter to raise money for equipment, permits, and supplies. They aimed for $5,000, which they've already surpassed, and the campaign runs until July 16. [EaterWire]

CRYSTAL MOUNTAIN — The sixth annual Mt. Rainier Wine Festival takes place July 11 at Crystal Mountain. The festival involves wines from across the state of Washington, tapas, raffles, and live music. Tickets and lodging packages are on sale.

CAPITOL HILL — It's "Indie Month" at Central Co-op, where independent producers and suppliers are being highlighted all month. Look for tags and signs in the store designating these producers, as well as vendors offering samples in the store.
