Ohhhh yes, Columbia City. Alas, there is more word on Kamala Saxton and Roz Edison's (MarinationGood Bar) upcoming Super Six restaurant: it's coming next month and has named an executive chef, a general manager, and a pastry chef.

Ryan Doran

New Jersey native Ryan Doran will be Super Six's executive chef (most recently sous chef at the Bookstore in the Alexis Hotel), Kristian Unvericht (opening GM of Tallulah's, manager of Quinn's) will be GM, and Kim Mahar (formerly of RN74) will be pastry chef. Furthermore, Ma'Ono's Mark Fuller will be consulting on the opening menu and recipe development.

It's been nearly six months since Saxton and Edison first announced their new project in the South End, which takes over a former automotive garage on 3714 S Hudson Street. The menu will feature Marination-signature Asian dishes incorporating Pacific Northwest staples and elements of American comfort food. The restaurant will also offer espresso, a weekend brunch, a full cocktail bar, and a beer garden with loads of outdoor seating.

It's aiming for an opening sometime next month.
