Big Gin Dinner at Dahlia Lounge; Barb's Beer Now Available Around Town

DOWNTOWN — Dahlia Lounge chef Brock Johnson is partnering with the Ballard-based Captive Spirits' founder Ben Capdevielle to serve a Big Gin dinner at Dahlia on Monday, September 14, at 6 p.m. Peruse the menu and pick up tickets here.

BOOZE NEWS — There's a new brew around town, and proceeds go to a great cause. An IPA created with Boundary Bay BreweryBarb's Beer (named in memory of Bellingham-based cancer patient Barbara Murphy, who lost her life to lung cancer in 2013) raises funds for cancer research and education. In its first year, it raised $10,000 around restaurants in Bellingham, and now is available at Serious Pie Westlake, Tutta Bella at Crossroads, Belltown Pub, Roberto's Venetian Trattoria and Bar, Bell + Whete, and Mars Bar in the Seattle area. Find more details here.

RAINIER BEACH — The 5th Annual Art Walk Rainier Beach is coming Saturday, September 5, to the Community Center Plaza with the theme "A Cultural Homecoming." Along with oodles of entertainment, come for food from Jackson's Catfish Corner, Sam Choy's Poke to the Max, Maya's Fiesta TruckLT's BBQ, and more.
