CURBED MAPS — A year ago, developer Lobsand Dargey was posing for photos with Seattle mayor Ed Murray and actor Tom Skerritt at the groundbreaking for his $190M Potola Tower project in Belltown. Today there are serious questions as to whether or not that and other large-scale properties will ever be completed following allegations that the former Tibetan Monk defrauded investors and misused funds. Curbed mapped out all of the Puget Sound projects potentially affected.
LIGHTS! CAMERA! ACTION! — Ballard's Edith Macefield House isn't actually the inspiration for Pixar's 'Up' but the iconic house might be headed to the big screen to tell it's own story. Fox Searchlight has picked up the film rights to Barry Martin's 2013 memoir Under One Roof, which tells the story of his friendship with Macefield while the Ballard Blocks went up around her house. Curbed has more details on the project as well as the status of the tiny home.
LUXURY LISTINGS — Jim Donald joined Starbucks in 2002, eventually working his way up to CEO by 2005. When he started with the Seattle coffee giant, he and his family moved into 6,342 square-foot five-bedroom at 4315 N.E. 33rd St. in Laurelhurst. Thirteen years later, they're moving to new digs and they've listed the luxury residence for $3.7 million. Check out photos and details over at Curbed.
