The third annual Seattle Street Food Festival returns next weekend, but in a new, larger location: South Lake Union instead of Cal Anderson Park. The work of Mobile Food Rodeo, this party starts Friday, August 14 at 3 p.m. (until 9) with a preview party, and then the full food line-up will be in place from noon to 11 p.m. on Saturday, August 15 and Sunday, August 16.
Expect over 75 food trucks, booths, and carts, says Seattle Met (a third more than last year), spanning four blocks along 9th Avenue: Denny Way to Harrison. Weekend highlights include a Friday preview of Josh Henderson's new Great State Burger (per Met, "he'll serve single and double burgers and crinkle fries with prices ranging from $3.50-$9.50"), $4 beers from Elysian Brewing Company, 75+ artist and craft booths organized by Urban Craft Uprising, and live music. Finally, per usual, the festival will become a night market on Saturday evening with a beer garden and (more) live music.
Admission, beautifully, is free. Check out the latest line-up of food participants on Seattle Street Food Festival site, and watch for updates on Facebook.
