Here Are the Offerings for Sweet Week, Starting Monday

Rejoice, dessert fans. Seattle's Sweet Week returns this Monday, September 14, through Sunday, September 20 across town, organized by Hot Cakes chocolatier Autumn Martin. Again, all participating shops will offer special $5 items and samplers that are not usually available on their menus, like trios of ice creams or mini pies. Find more details on the Sweet Week site, and as you get out your dessert pants, here are some specific offerings to plan for:

A La Mode Pie: ‘Cookies & Cream Tuxedo Pie' crumbly chocolate-graham cracker crust, with layers of rich ribbons of chocolate, crushed Oreos, delicate homemade custard, more crushed Oreos, and whipped cream topping

Bluebird Ice Cream: Smoked Chocolate Porter Ice Cream with Hot Cakes' smoked chocolate

Canal Market: Apple Rosette with pistachio ice cream

Chocolopolis: Flight of Brown Butter and Salted Caramel drinking chocolates with a salted caramel covered in dark chocolate.
