Celebration of Beer Festival at Skamania Lodge; Pepper Party at Cafe Barjot

STEVENSON — Skamania Lodge is hosting its Celebration of Beer Festival on October 3 from 12 to 5 p.m. Participants can try beer from local brewers like
Mt. Tabor Brewing, Double Mountain Brewery, Full Sail Brewing and Backwoods Brewing Company. Additionally, Garnier Vineyards, Jester & Judge Cider Company and Skunk Brothers Spirits will be present.The event includes live music and food for purchase. Tickets are on sale now. [EaterWire]

CAPITOL HILL Cafe Barjot is throwing a pepper party using "an insane amount" of Tonnemaker Farms peppers on September 21. Chef Nick Coffey will be stuffing you with a variety of pepper themed bites he has created using peppers that have been dried, fermented and roasted here in-house. MONTLAKE Canal Market is hosting a series of baking classes run by Emily Crain, the head baker for the Always Fresh Goodness Collective. They'll occur on Sunday afternoons this fall and will cover muffins, pies, and cookies. The first two classes will be for parents and kids to pair up and take together—the cost includes a kid-sized apron to take home. The November and December classes will be for adults only.
