City Fruit's Annual Cider Taste; New Oktoberfest Comes to Ballard

EVENTWIRE Tickets are now on sale for City Fruit's fifth annual Cider Taste fundraiser, taking place November 12 from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the Pike Place Atrium Kitchen. All tickets include one event passport, souvenir glass, tastes from ten Northwest cidermakers, and six small plate food pairings. Participating cideries include Alpenfire Organic Hard Cidery, Dragonhead Cider, Finnriver Farm & Cidery, Grizzly Ciderworks, Nashi Orchards, Seattle Cider Co., Schilling Cider, Snowdrift Cider, Tieton Cider Works, and Whitewood Cider Co. BEER HERE Reuben's Brews, Stoup Brewing, and Populuxe Brewing have collaborated to bring an Oktoberfest to Ballard. It will take place September 26 and will include a traveling Oompah band, a signature brew at each brewery, commemorative steins, and food trucks at each location. CAPITOL HILL Capitol Hill Housing fundraiser Omnivorous takes place September 24. Some of the neighborhood's top restaurants and bars will be serving food and drinks under one roof: Altura, Ba Bar, Bar Ferd’nand, Caffé Vita, Chavez, Hello Robin, High 5 Pie, Jemil’s Big Easy, Lark, Mamnoon, Marjorie, Monsoon, Oola Distillery, Poppy, Rachel’s Ginger Beer, Sun Liquor, Tallulah’s, Tango, Terra Plata, The Tin Table, and Trove will be present.
