Beers Made By Walking Tasting Party; New Ice Cream Bars from Parfait

BEER HERE — Landscape-inspired beers made through the Beers Made By Walking program will be tapped at an October 15 event from 6 to 9 p.m. at Naked City Brewing in Seattle. The event will feature 11 local beers and ciders made through a collaboration between BMBW and the Greenway Trust after a series of public hikes, led by Greenway experts, with local brewers throughout the summer. Each brewery is donating their specialty beer for this event and a percentage of the the beer sales on October 15 will support the Mountains to Sound Greenway. [EaterWire]

BALLARD Parfait rolled out new chocolate-dipped ice cream bars for Sweet Week last week, and they're sticking around as a permanent addition to the menu. The bars are dipped in 70% Theo chocolate and sprinkled with fleur de sel French sea salt.
