Darren and Melissa Des Voigne started Woodinville's Des Voigne Cellars in 2004. Now, thanks to a new state law allowing wineries and breweries to operate under the same roof, they've added B-Side Brewing to their operations, becoming the first combination winery-brewery in Washington. The beer started flowing January 8, and the brewery currently has three options on tap: IPA, porter, and pale ale, with an amber and a Russian imperial stout coming soon.
The winery/brewery is hosting a special release event on February 13 from 12 to 7 p.m. and February 14 from 12 to 5 p.m. Visitors can taste two new wine releases, a Malbec and a Sangiovese, as well as a chocolate stout, all paired with Theo Chocolate.
