Welcome to Taradise
The West Seattle Blog reports that Tara Scott has opened the Taradise Cafe in the old Marv’s Broiler space at 9808 16th SW in downtown White Center. The Charlestown Cafe alum has permission to use some of the cafe's recipes. The all-ages restaurant also has a bar, TVs for sports viewing, pool tables, and darts.
Upper Bar Ferd'nand Has Arrived
Matt Dillon and company's Upper Bar Ferd'nand has opened in Capitol Hill's Chophouse Row building. The second location for the wine bar also offers "a food menu of simply prepared dry aged and cured meats, cooked in our open fireplace, and local seafood, served raw, cured or smoked in our passive heat masonry smoker. We have a small bread and pizza program, as well as a selection of vegetables, prepared pickled or roasted." Starting tomorrow, they'll be open Tuesday through Saturday, with the bottle shop open from 1 to 11 p.m. and the kitchen open from 4 to 11 p.m.
