Whiskey and Chowder Festival; Local 360 Distiller Series

EVENTWIRE—The first Whiskey and Chowder Festival is taking place February 4 at the Foundry from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tickets are on sale now for the event, which includes an array of tastings plus instruction on making cocktails and other topics. [EaterWire]

BELLTOWNLocal 360 Café & Bar is launching a Local Distiller Series starting this month. The restaurant will feature a local distiller on the second Thursday of every month for diners to sample new spirits and get to know their local distillers. The events run from 4 to 10 p.m. and allow diners to taste featured products, sip on cocktails made with their products, and chat with the distillers. So far, three are on the books: January 14 with Seattle Distilling, February 11 with 3 Howls Distilling, and March 10 with 2bar Spirits. [EaterWire]

BALLARDShellfest is currently taking place through the end of January at Ray's Cafe. A full separate menu of shellfish dishes featuring crab, oysters, clams, shrimp and more is available daily from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. in the Café. A full menu is available here.
