DOWNTOWN—Scream if you love bone-marrow swirl! New details have emerged on Salt & Straw's forthcoming ice cream bar inside Pine Street Market. First, the name is Wiz Bang Bar. Second, it will serve things like the confirmed Smoked Oregon Ham soft serve in a black raspberry shell.

DOWNTOWN—Another day and another new John Gorham restaurant, as Gorham announces Shalom Y'all, a second new restaurant concept planned for the forthcoming Pine Street Market. Believe it or not, Shalom Y'all is the eighth restaurant from the Gorham crew.

NORTHEAST—Sweet, fried, and roasted: this is the holy trinity upon which Ataula's Jose Chesa built 180, the new Spanish xurro (churro), drinking chocolate, and coffee shop on NE Broadway. Chef Chesa, his wife and business partner Cristina Baéz, and partner David Martin officially began squeezing fingers of vegan-friendly xurro batter into a 3000-pound Spanish xurro deep fryer Friday, January 28. Eater gives you a sneak peek with photos of the interior.
