Peek Inside Great State Burger, the Hot Fast-Casual Chain Opening Wednesday

In South Lake Union, it's the first of many locations for Josh Henderson's new chain.

Chef Josh Henderson and his empire-building Huxley Wallace Collective (Westward, Quality Athletics) launch an ambitious invasion tomorrow when anticipated fast-casual spot Great State Burger opens at 11 a.m. at 7th and Lenora in South Lake Union. This weekend it will be followed by adjacent Bar Noroeste.

Above, courtesy of photographer Suzi Pratt, take a sneak peek inside the intriguing space that promises a short menu of locally-sourced burgers, crinkle-cut fries, and shakes at a good value plus ultra-quick service with the help of online ordering.

South Lake Union is just the first salvo in a campaign that could lead to eight to ten total locations of Henderson's "take on the classic American burger joint" this year. The next area the chain lands will be Laurelhurst on February 22. Need a reason to visit? The company has been sharing plenty of enticing photos of grass-fed beef to its Facebook page.
