Saigon Citi, billing itself as a "Vietnamese fine dining" restaurant and boldly proclaiming a focus on pho, is under construction at 7714 Aurora Ave N. It's the former home of one of Seattle's many Pho Than Brothers outposts; that mini-chain moved across the street to 7800 Aurora Ave N.

Word of the development came from a tipster, who wonders if this new spot is connected to the defunct Saigon City Restaurant in Bellevue. A still minimal online presence reveals only that Saigon Citi is "locally owned and managed by Saigon Restaurant Group," and Aaron, who answered the phone listed on the Facebook page but didn't give his last name, said he couldn't talk much about the restaurant yet.

He did, however, proffer that Saigon Pho and Deli is grand opening March 12 at 10008 Aurora Ave N, by the international HT Oaktree Market. Yelp suggests the deli is already in soft-open mode, as four customers report positive experiences with inexpensive build-a-bowl pho, banh mi burgers, and more. The fifth review seems to be a notice from Aaron himself that the "Bubble tea island" is now open.
