Drae's Lake Route Replaces Nate's Wings and Waffles in Rainier Beach

The original Nate's Wings and Waffles location in Rainier Beach closed last month. As of January 1, the restaurant is now Drae's Lake Route, owned by Andre Israel, one of the original owners of Nate’s.

Israel retained much of the original staff, and even includes wings and waffles on the menu, though he's expanded it to offer more comfort food dishes plus breakfast items.

Nate's opened its Rainier Beach spot in September 2014 and launched a Central District expansion almost exactly one year later. The CD outpost remains open.
