Molly Moon’s is opening its seventh ice cream shop—and its first on the Eastside—in downtown Redmond on April 8. The store will start scooping at 3 p.m. that day, and kids 12 and under can grab a free scoop of any flavor until 5 p.m.

Located in the historic Redmond State Bank building, the newest Molly Moon's will feature the company's first open kitchen format.

"I want to show ice cream lovers the process of how we make our ice creams and sorbets, and everything that goes into the creation of our sauces, toppings and sundaes," owner Molly Moon Neitzel said in a statement. " Whether steeping the organic lavender and tea, or infusing the milk and cream with Stumptown Coffee’s Holler Mountain roast in a cold infusion, or making our addictive hot fudge and lemon curd sauces, I want the public to see the passion that goes into every flavor our talented culinary staff is producing."

The Redmond shop will scoop Molly Moon's classic flavors like salted caramel, melted chocolate, balsamic strawberry, vanilla bean, and Stumptown coffee, along with seasonal flavors like vegan coconut chunk and roasted rhubarb.

16272 Cleveland St, Redmond, (425) 869-7654, website. Open daily from 12 p.m. to 11 p.m.
