Vendemmia owner Brian Clevenger and girlfriend Kayley Turkheimer opened their East Anchor Seafood market earlier this month, next door to Clevenger's Madrona restaurant. The space sells prepared food and groceries and even doubles as an oyster bar, with five types available to take home or slurp on-premise with black pepper mignonette or grapefruit shaved ice.
Customers can walk away with various produce and takeaway items from Vendemmia, like the restaurant's tomato sauce or fresh tagliatelle. For in-house dining there's a small but enticing menu of beer, wine, coffee, oysters, and small plates like smoked salmon with pickled shallots and aioli, salt cod with potato and grilled bread, and Ahi poke.
Eater stopped by to scope out the scene on a Friday evening, with customers making stops after work for a bite and a drink and bringing home a few groceries for the weekend.
