CAPITOL HILL — Eater announced yesterday that Chop Shop chef Zach Chambers had closed his Atta Boy Sandwiches inside Bar Sue. Now comes word from The Seattle Times that Chambers has left the city altogether and is working in Los Angeles. That's quite a bit of turnover, as the Times mentions: Opening chef Joseph Bollag worked there for just two months. Ericka Burke, Chop Shop's owner, is now running the show in the kitchen.
BELLTOWN — Shaker + Spear has a new chef: Carolynn Spence, who comes most recently from L.A.’s Chateau Marmont. She brings an impressive resume that includes stints at New York's The Spotted Pig (owned by April Bloomfield) and restaurants under Danny Meyer and Bobby Flay. Spence has already reworked the menus at the restaurant, which had previously been overseen by Walter Pisano. He's now back full time at Tulio, instead of splitting time between the two spots.
