Great news, sports fans who happen to also be food fanatics: Kraken Congee is now serving its Southeast Asian rice pudding and pillowy pinch buns at CenturyLink Field. That means you'll no longer get caught trying to fill your pockets at the nearby restaurant before or after Sounders or Seahawks home games.
Chefs Garrett Doherty and Shane Robinson, who co-own the pop-up-turned-brick-and-mortar success story, announced the news last month on Facebook. Look for the stand by section 130.

The former pop-up professionals are also hosting a collaborative, five-course prix fixe dinner called "Carinderia" Monday, March 7 with wandering Filipino chef Yana Gilbuena. There's an incomplete menu on the event page, but expect a tartare spin on traditional bistek, or beefsteak, from Gilbuena, pork cheek dinuguan (pork blood stew) from Doherty, and further boundary-pushing surprises from each. There will be two seatings, at 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., and tickets are available online for $55.
Gilbuena is the creator of SALO, a series in which she spread Filipino cuisine throughout the U.S. one state at a time throughout 2014, typically kamayan-style without utensils (see photos of her stop in Maine here). She told Eater that Seattle is one of her favorite cities, and she's excited to work with Kraken Congee again; the owners also helped her out during one of her previous visits.
