CAPITOL HILLMarjorie has a new Monday night pop-up series beginning tonight. Each week chef Taylor Cheney will bring her Yalla Pop-Up to the restaurant, replacing Marjorie's regular menu with Middle Eastern dishes like hummus, tabbouleh, stuffed grape leaves, lamb dumplings, kofta kebabs, and more. There will also be specialty cocktails like a Rose Water Martini or a Mint Tea Julep. Reservations can be made but are not required.

PIONEER SQUARE—Chef Garret Doherty of Kraken Congee is launching a new pop-up series called Kasama Dinners. Kasama in Tagalog means "partner," and for each event Doherty will partner with a local or visiting chef to create a one-night-only meal showcasing Filipino flavors, sometimes with non-Filipino cuisine created by the partnering chef. The first Kasama Dinner takes place May 2 and will mash up Filipino and Italian cuisines with chef Melissa Miranda of the recurring pop-up Il Vizietto. The dinner will have seatings at 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. and tickets are $55
