Dining Out for Life takes place April 28 with more than 100 restaurants throughout the Greater Seattle area participating by donating 30 to 50 percent of their proceeds to Chicken Soup Brigade, the food program run by non-profit Lifelong, to feed those fighting hunger and illness in the community. A full list of restaurants is available on the Dining Out for Life website.

Eater Seattle has sifted through the list to find the best picks:

  • Bar del Corso, which is donating 30 percent of the proceeds at dinner. The Beacon Hill restaurant serves impeccable Italian cuisine in a casual neighborhood setting.
  • Harvest Beat, which is donating 30 percent of the proceeds at dinner. The vegan newcomer pays thoughtful homage to its roots as a spin-off of the inventive Sutra, now closed.
  • Lionhead, which is donating 30 percent of the proceeds at dinner. Jerry Traunfeld's Szechuan restaurant on Capitol Hill is one to watch.
  • Marjorie, which is donating 30 percent of the proceeds at dinner. Chef Zephyr Paquette has quietly been doing great work at this Capitol Hill staple.
  • Lecosho, which is donating 30 percent of the proceeds of its lunch, dinner, and late night sales. The downtown spot serves excellent seasonal cuisine with a strong housemade sausage program.
