Brian O'Connor, formerly of Skillet and Roux, is opening two places of his own in White Center, reports Seattle Met.

Same Same Noodle Bar will have plenty of Asian noodle offerings along with a bit of Italian influence, too. The planned menu is extensive and includes small plates, noodle soups, wok noodles, rice bowls, and cocktails. O'Connor will make some noodles in-house and source others elsewhere. Same Same doesn't yet have a location picked out, but the goal is to open in late summer or early fall.

O'Connor is also planning Bok a Bok, which will combine Korean Fried Chicken and biscuits. He's signed a lease and applied for a liquor license at 1521 SW 98th St, Suite D, putting him in the neighborhood of favorites like Full Tilt Ice Cream, Zippy's Giant Burgers, Proletariat Pizza, and Big Al Brewing. Bok a Bok is moving right along, aiming for a late spring or early summer opening.
