Seattle Beer Week 2016 is upon us. It's actually an 11-day run of events all over the city, starting with today's tapping of the official brew of the celebration, the Daily Pale from Reuben's Brews. Reuben's will be pouring the special beer starting at 4 p.m. today.
Since your liver can only handle so much beer, Eater has sorted through the massive list and picked the best bets:
Seattle Proper, 5/12 at Naked City
"The best beers in the Seattle city limits, featuring 'fruit & other infusions, sours, & other rarities.'"
Seattle Cask-o-Rama, 5/13, Beveridge Place Pub
"Sixteen Seattle breweries, sixteen casks on the bartop!"
Pine Box Beer Can Derby, 5/14, Pine Box
"Come and try your luck racing cans cub scout style down the tracks to beer glory."
Women in Beer, 5/16, Pike Brewing Company
"This food and beer tasting features women involved in the Northwest craft beer industry along with[...]women restaurateurs, cider makers, chocolatiers, cheese makers and more."
Beer Camp Across America, 5/18, Capitol Cider
"Preview a very limited selection of Sierra Nevada collaborations with local breweries. This is the only Seattle Beer Week event featuring this lineup of beers."
Sourfest, 5/19, Brouwer's Cafe
"This is one of the most anticipated days every year at Brouwer's Café. We replace every tap with a sour beer. [It's] lip smackingly great."
Coffee Beer and Donuts, 5/22, Reuben's Brews
"To round Seattle Beer Week out, we'll be pouring 4 coffee-infused beers paired with local donuts."
