Last month, Eater reported on former Skillet and Roux chef Brian O'Connor's plans for two White Center restaurants. Now there's word O'Connor plans to open the first restaurant, Bok A Bok Fried Chicken, on June 1 at 1521 SW 98th St, Suite D.

Bok A Bok will serve Korean fried chicken alongside biscuits. Expect a range of fried chicken parts, including wings, feet, and breast. Other menu items will include rice bowls and fried chicken sandwiches with accoutrements like green onion aioli, kimchi, and pickled radishes. There will also be take-out available, with the option of ordering up to 100 wings with biscuits, sides, sauces, and kimchi. On the drinks side, O'Connor and team are planning soju slushies with seasonal flavors.

O'Connor is also busy readying Same Same Noodle Bar, which will feature small plates, noodle soups, wok noodles, and rice bowls mixing Asian and Italian influences. He's hoping to open that restaurant, also in White Center, in late summer or early fall.
