Punk Pizzeria Slings New York-Style Soon in Amazonia

Little Maria's will be "serving it up all day and into the night!"

Promising New York-style pizza, booze, and "a punk aesthetic," Little Maria's is coming soon to Amazonia. A tipster alerted Eater to the new spot, suggesting there would be "even more pizza on the hill," though Capitol Hill dwellers (who are indeed experiencing a pizza proliferation) would probably prefer not to conflate the booming Denny Triangle neighborhood with their own.

There's not yet a ton of information to be had on Little Maria's Facebook page or official website, and requests for comment were not returned by press time. The pizzeria was recently seeking a bar manager and a head chef, though, and in one job posting described itself as a "casual dining pizza restaurant, bar and lounge."

The pizzeria joins Kremwerk and another upcoming nightclub, Timbre Room, at 1809 Minor Ave. Given these neighbors, it's simple math to expect this to be a late-night destination for partiers; a Facebook post promises, "We're looking forward to serving it up all day and into the night!"
