Behold Bok A Bok Fried Chicken, Opening Today in White Center

The Korean fried chicken has landed

White Center's Bok A Bok has just opened its doors for its first official day in business, serving a glorious selection of fried chicken, chicken sandwiches, and sides like kimchi mac 'n' cheese, housemade biscuits, and fries with kimchi cheese dipping sauce. Oh, and there are also soju slushies. Bok A Bok comes courtesy of Brian O'Connor, former chef at Skillet and Roux.

O'Connor is also busy readying Same Same Noodle Bar, which will feature small plates, noodle soups, wok noodles, and rice bowls mixing Asian and Italian influences. He's hoping to open that restaurant, also in White Center, in late summer or early fall.

Eater stopped by before the opening to take a peek at the small space, which features a walk-up window for ordering and just a few seats for in-house dining.

1521 SW 98th St, Suite D., (206) 693-2493, website. Open daily 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
